157. Burmese Days, George Orwell

The beginning of the book have lots of promising characters with hopeful story line. But towards the end, it became so depressing and disturbing... just like 'Animals Farm'. I know it probably depicts the truth.. but still, the irony and the brutal truth made me quite disturbed.
