171. A Pergectly Good Family, Lionel Shriver

The same author who wrote 'We Need to Talk About Kevin".

She's a very talented writer.. she explored every deep thoughts, undisclosed feelings and thinking process of her main characters. The in-depth exploration made readers (me) feel i've been intrusive. All decisions and actions have underlined meanings and motives. It made me question my everyday actions too, which i didnt give second thoughts previously.

The book itself is about the dynamic relationship of three siblings who were fighting for parents' inheritence. The characters remind me of my family members, it's scary. Most part of the book is pretty depressing. But it has quite a sweet ending.
