212. From Here to Maternity, Sinead Moniarty

The moment I finished reading her last book, 'Perfect Match', I decided that i was going to read her other books too. And I finally came across another one a couple weeks ago, and of course i bought it without a second thought. This is actually her 3rd novel.

This book is as funny and entertaining as her last one. It's a sequel to 'Perfect Match', where a couple who have been struggling to have a baby finally successfully adopt an 11 month old baby from Russia, only to find that the wife finally became pregnant too. But the story doesnt only revolves around the couple, it also explores the wife's relationship to her funny-loving-dysfunctional family, her relationship with her two bestfriends and their respective partners/children, and her journey of pregnancy and being a mother.

I really love the nature of the relationship of the couple too, the way they argue in a spat. The wife's over-dramatic, like any other women are, but the husband was easy, loving and totally ignoring the wife. The wife put it "I was the hyena to his rhino" sums it up.

Love the book. It has the expected happy ending, but not boring kind, it was more like you wouldnt have want it any other way sort of ending.
