141. Still Waters, Camilia Noli

A novel about a woman who struggled to cope with the domestic life of having two toddlers and a busy husband who's climbing up the career ladder. On one dreadful night, the wife put a pillow on the toddler's face to keep her quiet, and before she knows it, the toddler died. Investigation shortly followed. The ending was so abrubt and so mind-blowing. I had troubles accepting the ending, and was really eager for more. The book was written in a simple way, but it was so captivating. What scared me the most is that, I was able to emphatise with the woman, who supposedly the antagonistic character. But the more I read her thoughts and thinking-processed, the more i realised how normal she was, and how every mothers possibly have the capability to experience, feel and do the same.

Absolutely a memorable book. I dont know if I love it, but i have the highest respect for the author.
