215. Anthem, Ayn Rand

Such a short but very very good book. It reminds me of George Orwell's Animals Farms.

214. The Curious Incident of the Dog in The Night Time, Mark Haddon

And this is the joke.

There are three men on a train. One of them is an economist and one of them is a logician and one of them is a mathematician. And they have just crossed the border into Scotland (I dont know why they are going to Scotland) and they see a brown cow standing in a field from the window of the train (and the cow is standing parallel to the train)

And the economist says, 'Look, the cows in Scotland are brown.'

And the logician says, 'No. There are cows in Scotland of which one, at least, is brown.'

And the mathematician says, 'No. There is at least one cow in Scotland, of which one side appears to be brown.'

And it is funny because economists are not real scientists, and because logicians think more clearly, but mathematicians are the best"

213. Lucky Everyday, Babsy Jain

"Fear knocked on the door. Faith answered. Nothing was there. Face your fear; otherwise they will chase you around."

212. From Here to Maternity, Sinead Moniarty

The moment I finished reading her last book, 'Perfect Match', I decided that i was going to read her other books too. And I finally came across another one a couple weeks ago, and of course i bought it without a second thought. This is actually her 3rd novel.

This book is as funny and entertaining as her last one. It's a sequel to 'Perfect Match', where a couple who have been struggling to have a baby finally successfully adopt an 11 month old baby from Russia, only to find that the wife finally became pregnant too. But the story doesnt only revolves around the couple, it also explores the wife's relationship to her funny-loving-dysfunctional family, her relationship with her two bestfriends and their respective partners/children, and her journey of pregnancy and being a mother.

I really love the nature of the relationship of the couple too, the way they argue in a spat. The wife's over-dramatic, like any other women are, but the husband was easy, loving and totally ignoring the wife. The wife put it "I was the hyena to his rhino" sums it up.

Love the book. It has the expected happy ending, but not boring kind, it was more like you wouldnt have want it any other way sort of ending.
